Father's Day Craft for Preschoolers: My Little Hands
Father's Day is just around the corner, and now is the perfect time to encourage your kids to say an extra-big "Thank you!" for all that Dad does. Here's a great way for your preschooler to make something special.
What you'll need:
- Construction paper
- "My Little Hands" poem (below)
- Washable paint
- Paintbrushes
- Glue stick
My Little Hands
God gave me these hands so small,
To hug my Daddy, big and tall.
God gave me these hands so sweet,
For Daddy to hold down the street.
God gave little hands to me,
To wrap around my Daddy's knee.
One way to show my Dad I care,
Is to fold my hands and say a prayer.
I say, "God, please bless my dad,
'Cause he's the best a kid could have."
Put it all together:
Have your kid center and glue the poem on a piece of their favorite construction paper. Then paint your kid's palms so they can leave their handprints on each side of the poem. Remember to wash their hands right after to prevent little handprints from showing up all over the house!
